Mary Beth has a spectrum of modalities to offer in the healing arts. Mary Beth trained at Cuyahoga Community College in Highland Hills, OH with a post degree in Massotherapy (massage therapy), and completed workshops in infant massage and thai yoga massage.
In 2008, she trained under Auntie Maile Napoleon in Hilo, Hawaii learning the ancient art of lomilomi, Hawaiian massage. Also, in 2008, she attained a certificate from the American Bodywork Professionals and Massage Therapists. In 2010 she became licensed for massage therapy by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, the Ohio State Medical Board and the state of Wisconsin. With John Barnes, PT, she completed a course in myofascial release.
She is a reiki master teacher, and practitioner of Integrated Energy Therapy (IET), calling in the angelic realm. She has studied the healing energy of crystals at Free Spirit Crystals, became certified in crystal reiki from Angel Light and integrates these into her energy and massage work. She trained in sound healing with Sheri Bauer, at Angel Light, in Elm Grove, WI in 2015. In 2016, she studied Aromatherapy and was certificated by Floracopeia. She integrates essential oils in her massage and shares them in yoga during shavasana. In 2017 she studied VST, Vibrational Sound Therapy, placing Himalayan singing bowls on the body for deep relaxation with Kathy Lester with Silver Sky Imports in Seattle, WA.
She owns Profoundly Peaceful Massage LLC where three practitioners offer massage, facials and yoga, thai yoga, and sound healing. She initially opened in Milwaukee in August 2010. In spring of 2013 she joined Magnolia Group Health & Wellness Center in Pewaukee. In spring 2015, she moved her practice Pathways of Light in Delafield. Her intention is for clients to find deep peace within. She utilizes sound healing therapies in her yoga and massage practice integrating tuning forks and singing bowls in massage and Himalayan singing bowls in yoga class. She offers individual and group session with singing bowls.
She has been practicing yoga since 1978 and teaching yoga since 1996. She trained under master teachers: Alice Christianson (American Yoga Association), Bhumi (Kripalu style), and Rama Berch (Master Yoga Teacher Training, San Diego, CA Svaroopa style). She is a registered teacher at the 500 hour level with Yoga Alliance. Under Rama’s guidance, Mary Beth studied yoga postures, breathing, yoga philosophy, anatomy, chanting, and meditation. She likes to help students release tension and find their bliss. She taught yoga to children in Milwaukee Public Schools at Cass St school for two years. She now teaches children’s and adult yoga classes at Pathways of Light in Delafield. She also sings in a kirtan group named Bhakti Bliss at Pathways with Dawn Riesing.
Before her career in the healing arts she taught 26 years in elementary schools in the inner city of Cleveland, OH. She has a B.S. in ECED, and a Masters in SPED, a Montessori A.M.I diploma and a reading endorsement. She assisted special education students part time at Pewaukee high school 2014-2015. Mary Beth is married with three children.
